Who Should Attend

Financial Skills for Management is designed for non-financial mid- to senior-level managers in functional areas such as HR, information technology, marketing, sales, manufacturing, or engineering, and managers of cross-functional teams. This programme will also benefit senior decision-makers who desire more knowledge of how finance and accounting impact executive decision making, such as directors, chief executive officers, presidents, private business owners, and other executives whose main expertise lies outside the accounting and financial management fields.

Even though there will be intensive treatment of several topics, this programme assumes that you have little or no knowledge of financial concepts.

Application Qualifications and Programme Certification

In order to maintain the high calibre of the participants, the Programme requires that candidates for admission meet certain qualifications:

  • Proven maturity and the intellectual ability to comprehend - and the capacity to absorb - advanced level instruction
  • A sincere commitment to the intensive study and active discussion that can significantly add value to the Programme

To reap the maximum benefits from the Programme, organisations should nominate those candidates who wish to prepare for increased professional and management roles within their organisations. Participants must be prepared to work diligently, be willing to entertain new ideas and be able to contribute actively to group discussions.

All admitted applicants, who accomplish the minimum standards for attendance, shall receive a certificate from the Michigan Ross School of Business.
