John (Jack) has taught in the Executive Education Department at the Michigan Ross School of Business since 1976. He conducts programmes on leadership, effective managerial coaching and counseling, team building, and organisational management in the new millennium. During the past twenty years, Dr. Walker has worked with and conducted seminars with many Fortune 500 companies throughout the world, including General Motors and Ford. In the public sector, Jack has consulted with the Federal Trade Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Office of Personnel Management, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (where he hosted a series of distance learning programmes). He is a certified consulting psychologist with an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
In addition to teaching, Jack is president of Meta Visions, a consulting firm that specialises in leadership development and new millennium management. He develops and publishes validated management learning materials, including organisational surveys and 360 instrumentation. He also enjoys coaching and counseling with executives and has several years experience in clinical private practice in this area.
